Okay, I didn't call ahead and had to wait, but I'm going back tomorrow. The HOT chicken wings are AWESOME. Just enough bite in the sauce and a little messy, but you won't need many napkins after you lick your fingers. I'm not sure I'll be able to try all the flavors 'cuz the the HOT wings were way to addicting.

Why did the people cross the road? To get to the Chicken King! Do you want good chicken wings, in a plethora of flavors? Country Fried, Lemon Pepper, Hot & Honey Mustard BBQ, Hot, Honey Mustard, Garlic. Or maybe a pork chop, catfish, or shrimp plate ? If you've ever had any meal from here then you know why they are the King. Be forewarned you MUST call in your order at least 20 minutes before you get there, or you'll be waiting. That could be a bad thing except, EVERY order is cooked after you place it. Therefore if you show up at that magical time between when you place the order and it hits the window you've struck gold. Don't have much money? No problem you can get the poor man's special for 5.75 everyday, anytime 6 wings, fries, ranch, roll and drink. Or maybe a M-F lunch special for 6.75 and you'll get 3 more wings for your buck. Swimming in just enough sauce, so there is no need for ketchup on the fries. They are on a funky corner with limited parking so one must be careful not to whip in because there may be someone whipping out with a hot fresh lemon pepper wing in one hand and the steering wheel in the other. I love this place...Yes it's small, generally crowded, but well worth every bite. Big or small they have catering available also.

I was pretty upset when I saw the price of feeding my family at Chicken King. We ordered a 15-piece shrimp dinner, fried okra, and a 6-piece chicken strip meal and it came out to just under $40. Ridiculous. The chicken was worse than Slim Chickens and the shrimp was mediocre at best. Instead of eating here, go to Red Lobster and order whatever you want. Or save some money and go to Slim Chickens and enjoy better food. Will not return.

Ordered a 10 piece wings meal at lunch time. After a 45 minute wait, learned that the tickets for my order and 3 other orders weren't even printed out despite already having paid. Utter lack of management. Would not recommend, there are far better options for chicken in Little Rock.

I have made many trips to North Little Rock over the years. Every time I visit there on Business I have to order from the Chicken King, Lunch, Dinner or both. I make sure I go the day I arrive and the day before I leave. I even told them if I they could send it to my home I would order from them. The location might be a bit intimidating but the food is good. Call ahead if you can it's all take out. In the time I have been there they were closed once for a while. I'm not sure if it was reopened by the same young people or not but it is as good a before. They cook the best wings I have ever had from a wing joint. I had the pork chop sandwich which was great the first time. The second a little over cooked. I wish they would send me their cooking technique so I can do the same at home since I through making trips there.

This place is simply amazing. I live up on Scenic Hill and have to stop myself from eating here nightly. They're garlic hot tossed chicken tenders are to die for, I cannot get enough. If you like Chicken, you are doing yourself a favor by eating here. Even if you live within 5 hours, you have no excuse to have not tried it yet!
